FFA Starts Up at CGWA
Under the direction of Mr. Jacob Ball, we received a $5000 Rising Sun Grant from the Kentucky FFA Foundation to purchase FFA Jackets and chapter supplies. Our officer team in the Ag Communication class is showing the new jackets off below. We also held out first FFA meeting and over 30 scholars attended. We want to thank Dr. Marcus Bernard, Dr. Johnnie Westbrook, and Dr. Oliver Freeman from the Kentucky State University College of Agriculture for coming and talking with our members!
Scholar Attend National Convention
The National FFA Convention is held each October with over 69,000 plus FFA members and guests from across the country in attendance. Members participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops, a career show and expo, volunteer activities and much more. It is the largest annual student gathering in the country. The scholars on the trip are Zyan Harris, Jordyn Forbes Lopez, Andrey Garcia Rodriguez, and Javian Crute.
