CGWA Writing Policy

"With the implementation of Common Core State Standards, literacy no longer falls solely under the language arts category. Reading and writing skills must be incorporated into math, science, history and enrichment courses." (educationonline.com) 

By creating an action plan, CGWA offers guidance for all teachers to incorporate reading and writing skills into their lessons.   Through collaboration across disciplines, teachers then provide our scholars with the necessary experiences and feedback to develop outstanding reading and writing skills.  These skills are vital for their ability to communicate well in their future endeavors.
